Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She was drafted with the 5th pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd of March 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26 year old brother, and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years old. The parents of her were the ones who spoilt her most since she was the youngest. Gregory was her father. He was involved in the Nigerian Army quite a while. Ogunbowale's family is that has ties to the sporting world. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player at DePaul while her brother Dare was once an athlete in football. The aunt she played with was a volleyball player for UAPB in the past, and Endia is a Volleyball player on the team at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale has been in the honor roll of her school for three consecutive years. In addition to her fame, she's won numerous honors from her education. Arike earned her degree in Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is located in the city of her birth. As a student at the school, she also played three years of varsity football. The skills of Ogunbowale led to impressive victories while at the school. Her high school record with 73 career starts and lists her career's totals as 1 477 and 739 rebound. Ogunbowale participated at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and was awarded Gold medals at both. In July of 2014 she was chosen as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale, who is playing her first season at a collegiate level and was named to one of the ACC All-Freshman Team.
